Chad went golfing today, so today feels like a weekday. I did manage to make a cherry pie which I am giddy about. I LOVE cherry pie. Made with sour cherries, thickened with tapioca- just like mom's. It looks and smells delicious. I think it may be my afternoon snack- and dinner! Ella had a hard day yesterday. She was so irritable and fussy- today though, she is napping well and played for almost an hour by herself while I baked. She found her washcloth and held it in her mouth, flipped it over her shoulder and carried it around while she explored and then finally ended up at my feet in the kitchen trying to fit pan lids on pans. I am amazed at how much she is understanding. She has really got the signing "please" down. She does it when she wants anything or is trying to tell us anything. I do not know what she wants half the time! We are going to a wedding tonight. She is staying with my friend MaryLu. It is at 6:00-outside, predicted temp-97. I still am not sure what to wear. I have a great selection of new shirts however. I went to pick a friend up at the airport Thursday night, and her flight ended up being delayed for 2 hours. So, I shopped. I was looking for shirts to help cover my tummy a little. I found five shirt at three different locations and paid $30.00 total! Great finds. It was nice to be alone for a few hours. I sat at the mall and had a piece of pizza and watched teenagers-then sat at the airport for awhile and watched travelers. It has been awhile since I have been out, for that long, totally alone. Oh- I hear Ella- gotta go get her up soon- hopefully her content mood will last through the afternoon and evening!
