My take on Sewing
I still haven't got my Christmas stuff up. Most of my fall decor is put away though. There are still pumpkins and gourds throughout the house. Ella is taking a GREAT nap. We wore her out at the Dr. today. Tubes are to be placed in her ears next Friday. So - I am tired of thinking about it- so that is all I will write. My sinuses are still FULL of something, making my face and teeth ache despite starting antibiotic. I hope it kicks in soon. I have a sitter for Saturday night- don't know what we will do- but it better be fun!!
Unlike Karen my crafty cousin, I have decided that I do not like to sew. I have tried to like it. I have sewed several things, started quilts, made aprons, curtains and pillow cases. To me it is tedious and makes me tense. I sewed a little curtain for Ella's changing table yesterday. It looks good from afar- but up close. Yikes. I just get too impatient. I would like to like it. I love buying fabric and putting colors together, but after that, it's not so fun for me. It will likely not be on a list of "interests or hobbies" on my next resume.

I, like Karen, used to love to sew. I sewed all the time. I can't any more - bad eyes, bad hands, etc. etc. But you're like your mother-in-law in that respect. She always took a pattern and tried to match the fabric to what was on the pattern front. Funny!
Hope you feel better soon.

I hate sewing as well...not actually hate, I just can't do it...so I don't like it. Luke however, is good. I don't get it.
I didn't like it for a long time either. I tried but was really impatient. I threw away a lot of half finished projects. I don't know what changed or why but now it's one of my favorite things to do. I have no real explanation.
Let me know if I can ever sew something for you. Or if you want to sew and want company.
Sorry to hear about Ella's ear tubes. My nephew Carson got them between ages 1 and 2 and it made a huge difference.
I am like you. The idea is great and the fabric and all but no thanks.
Just dropped in for a quick visit from another lovely blog and here I am some 10 minutes into my visit and still reading your happy posts.
see you again I am sure.

Kera had tubes in her ears too, which was wonderful after having ear infection after ear infection. THe actual "surgery" is really no big deal, I found out after stressing about it, so don't stress! She'll be much happier after. :-)
