I took these pictures yesterday and today with my video camera. I am going to try to get a quick post in. We are doing fine, getting adjusted to life with two little ones. It has been a hard adjustment for us. But, when I consider that it has only been 5 weeks, we are actually doing pretty good. Thomas spits up all the time, and is really gassy, but is easy to settle down and comfort. He has been doing good at night, usually stretching one feeding cycle out to 4-5 hours, then we are back to every 2-3 hours during the day. Ella does not like it when I hold him, but she can be distracted. She really likes to "help" me give him baths, dress him, change him and comfort him. Chad has been really helpful, staying home later in the morning and taking over with Ella when he is here. We have been forced to work together as a team, like we never have before. It has been good for us and I think has reminded us of how thankful we are for each other. I also have amazing friends and family who have brought food, taken Ella for a day and just been there to sympathize with and encourage me. I am so thankful for great people in my life. Thomas had his 1 month appointment yesterday. He weighs 10 pounds 4 ounces, so he is growing great! He has smiled a few times at me, but his attention is pretty fleeting.
We met with our realtor yesterday and will be putting our house on the market soon, probably next week. So, that will be interesting. I am excited for something new, but NOT about the process of getting there. Chad is still deciding about which floor plan to use for our next house. I keep pushing for a one level, but he is all about re-sale, and a two level would be better for that. That's about it. The weather has been wonderful- I have been taking walks with my sister-in-law
Sherry, carrying Ella in the back pack and pushing Thomas. I really look forward to getting out, exercising and talking to Sherry. I really will miss her when they move.(No guilt-trip implied (:). I better go fold some laundry before Thomas is ready to eat again!

Hey, good to hear your cyber voice again! What a sweet little guy! Yes, adjusting to two is harder than we think it's going to be.
Here in our town, at least, nothing with steps is selling - at least not tri-levels. Everyone wants simpler one level houses, and new ones.
Thomas is very handsome. :)
Hey Amanda,
Good to hear from you! I am sure I am up a lot when you are up. Sounds like Thomas is doing very similar to Titus. He has one good 4 hour stretch and goes 2-3 hours after that. Sometimes he actually feeds every hour sometimes. It is tough. Justice is doing pretty well, I think though that some of his defiant behavior and a little bit of separation anxiety have to do with Titus being here. He is okay when I hold him as he is very independent usually. It is an adjustment process for all of us. I think DH and I are the ones with the major adjustments really though. We will get through and I remind myself often that this too shall pass.
yay amanda! glad to see you are up to blogging again. Good to see you guys last night! Tomasito is a doll. :)
He is very handsome. Glad to hear it is going well for you with two. You are blessed.
Hi there,
Everything you said in your post is exactly what I experience daily (minus the older child). Finn is sleeping the exact same amount at night and we live by the clock during the day. It is nice to know we mothers of newborns are not alone!!
Cute pics!
Gretchen- (Bridgette's sister) :)
Amanda,
Great to hear from you. I know how hard of an adjustment things can be. Just keep your chin up, this too shall pass, it will just get easier and easier for you. Love the pix of Thomas:)love-Suz
Good to hear from you! Thomas is adorable! Stinking Cute!
your new little babe is such a cutie! That adjustment from 1 child to 2 is tough at first then you get used to it and can hardly remember your lives with only 1!
Hope you had a wonderful birthday - according to Sherry, it sounds like you did! We need some new pictures!!
