We started the celebration early. Ella ate a donut and blew the candles out over and over. I think we re-lit them about 10 times!

She picked her clothes out- fortunately she took her sweater off before we went out into the heat! She likes the birthday button I bought her- and is saying that she is 2- holding two fingers up! (We have been practicing all week.) Of course I could not catch her doing it with the camera.

My mom sent the paint with water books- and Ella LOVES it. I think she would paint the whole book in one sitting if I let her! I am going to have to pace her a little.

We are planning to take her out to Red Robin for dinner, and see what she think about being sung to. I could write alot of emotional, mushy stuff about how much I love her, but as most of you reading are mothers, I know nothing has to be said - you know the state of my heart today. And for those reading who do not have children yet- I will one day enjoy celebrating YOUR child's 2nd birthday with you (Shannon and Donna and Candee to mention a few . . . ) and understand where your heart is on that day-

Happy Birthday, Ella!! What a big girl you are!
Hayley had that same exact button on her 2nd birthday. :-) We recycle it and use it every year.
Oh my, if Ella is two that means Peanut will be two very soon as well! Where does the time go?
