We are leaving on Thursday for Colorado to visit family. I am excited to get out of town and change up the routine a bit. We are driving (12+ hours)- but once we get there, we will have fun. We'll take in a Rockies game, the Denver Zoo, the beautiful mountains and hopefully get to spend lots of time with family. I have a friend lined up to stay at the house for us and take care of the cats- so now I need to begin thinking about packing. What do bring, what to buy there, etc., etc. I am also one of those people who has to leave the house clean and all put in order before a trip- so I think I will find someone to watch my kids on Wednesday and get it all done then. It always makes me feel better.
I gave me resume to a friend this week, for a possible job with a local agency that works with families. I am really hoping something works out. I used this agency when I was doing case management for Child Protection, and always thought it would be a fun job to have in the future. We'll see . .
When we get back from Colorado I will start watching kids regularly again. I have four families that I will be sitting for- about one day a week for each family. Tuesdays I will always have kids, and then maybe one or two other days a week. Should be very doable- I have told all of the families that i am looking for a part time job, so they know that I may have to stop watching kids. But, I am hoping that I can do both, since the job I am wanting is very flexible.
Ella is watching her favorite Saturday morning cartoon, The Littles. Thomas is down for his first nap and Chad went into work this morning. I am going to use this time to get a shower (before 10:00!) and try to get last nights dishes cleaned up.
Ah- I think I figured out how to actually get paragraphs!! Hurray-
