We had a great party for Thomas. Well, let's be honest- the party was for our sake-He would have been perfectly happy with one balloon! I made soup for everyone- and we had cake and ice cream. The kids ran around and played- the adults talked. Thomas was a bit overwhelmed with it all, and just wanted me to hold him by the end of the day. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I am so glad to have been able to celebrate our Thomas's first birthday with our closest friends and family. We filled up the house. It will be the last gathering we have here. It was a good night- a good party- and a good thing to celebrate.
Chad leaves tomorrow for K-town. It will be an interesting week. He will be back Friday afternoon. I will spend the week really digging into the sorting and packing process and finish up paperwork for my job. He is taking the t.v. that I've watch every morning that sat on the counter in the kitchen- I am already going through withdrawals. Can I really start the day without Meredith, Matt, Al and Ann??? The challenges of this move just keep coming! I may just have to download some more music to my i-pod.
