Day 8

It was another day that was full and busy at home for me.  I cleaned, did laundry, re-organized impact supplies, etc.  One of the couples here from Alaska, Nick and Angel, stopped by today and visited.  Angel helped me cut and bag bread for tomorrow's event, and then we all walked down to the store to buy cheese for sandwiches tomorrow.  It has been great to have opportunities like this to get to know some of this group better.
Angel and Ella on our way to the store.
Garren's mom, Cyndi, moved into our house today from her hotel.  Her husband has been having trouble breathing since he got here (he has asthma), and decided it would be better to go home, as nothing he has tried here is helping and his symptoms kept worsening.  He left this afternoon for home, and she moved into the playroom.  It will be good to have her at the house with us for the rest of her time here.  She is staying a few days longer than the rest of the group, and will be here until April 13.  I wish I had snapped a picture of the kids snuggled up close to Cyndi playing games on her I-pad.  She was so patient with them as they were enthralled with her technology!  She showed them all kind of fun things to do on it.

It was a beautiful day!  Construction and Impact went well and everyone was in good, albeit tired, spirits tonight.
This was taken last night, headed out the door for dinner- she has such
bright eyes!  She's seeming very grown up to me these last few days.
The moon was amazing tonight- wish I had had my nicer camera with me for this shot!
It has been such a blessing to have good dinners each night during this time.
We always eat soup and then a main dish.
I really appreciate not having to worry about what to fix for dinner!
I will have a house full tomorrow with more bread baking!  It will be the last day to have a group working in the house as we prepare for Sunday, when the new church will be inaugurated.  Pastor wanted an American food to share with people after the service.   My thought was, "What might be out on the table to snack on Easter day?"  Banana and/or pumpkin bread (that's more about the box of rotten bananas we have than it is about Easter tradition), deviled eggs and carrot and celery slices with ranch dressing.  We are planning for 200 people, so I don't want to get too complicated!   That's the plan right now, but it may change before Sunday!
