This was our first attempt with a sippy cup. It actually went well. I think he will catch onto it quickly-

I love that bottom picture, Ella looks like she's showing Thomas the ropes. I love the sippy cup, too cute.
Finn just started his sippy cup as well. He does pretty well with a cup with handles. He gets 1/2 oz of apple juice with tons of water and he is proud as a peacock when he drinks!
