Screaming screaming screaming. All.day.long. Why did I get screamers? I am SO ready for the weekend.

I just registered for our big run! The distance from our house to Chad's office is about 4 miles, via the bike path. I needed to do a 3.5 mile run today, so I loaded the kids up in the jogger, and headed up to meet Chad. I did it in just under 50 minutes, which definitely included periods of walking. It is hard to run and push two kids in a stroller. I probably won't do it again anytime soon. Running is SO much easier with the use of both arms, and without a 3 year old saying, "Mama, are you running? Run Mama, run fast!"

So, back to the weekend. I am going to a ladies retreat with our church. I am really excited to spend time with the ladies I have met. There are 36 people going, which is great considering the size of our church (under 100 attendees). Chad is headed down to N-town with the kids (it IS appropriate to begin praying for them NOW). Once they are there, Aunt Julie and Miss Jana will take over where I leave off! I am NOT happy about missing time with them. The thing I am MOST excited about right now, is the approximately 2 hours I will have in between the time when Chad leaves with the kids, and when my ride arrives. TWO HOURS. Bless-ed be. Maybe I will just sit on the couch. Eating something delicious. In total silence.

I am putting together a scavenger/treasure hunt for us to do Saturday, which I need to get back to.

I definitely think you need to just sit (or lay) on the couch and do absolutely nothing for 2 hours!! :)

Have fun at the retreat! I hope we'll get to see the gang at some point this weekend.

I hear ya on the screaming. I really think some kids are just more prone to it than others based on temperament and general noisiness. At least you know they can express themselves! LOL!

There is nothing quite like blessed quietness! Screaming really gives me a headache. Care Bear gets carried away on occasion - in the house.

The retreat sounds wonderful - have a wonderful, renewing time!

Bless Julie and Jen! And Chad!
