Life seems to be slowly getting back to normal. Sort of. Since the 14th of December we have lived in 3 different places. My parents house, my sister's house and Chad's sisters house. Chad joined us at my parents house on the 23rd- and we all stayed there until the 29th when we came back to Boise. We stayed with my sister in Boise until the 3rd, and are currently living with Julie and Toby and the boys. Ella and Thomas are loving all the play time with cousins. Chad has been busy working, which is great- and I have begun the process of lining up work for myself. Hopefully some will come soon! We will be in or own place within the next 2 weeks, which will be great. Every time we have packed up to move locations, I get so emotional! There are a lot of other factors that play into my emotions too right now and not having a place of our own to go to makes it harder.

Chad and I are headed back up to Hailey on Thursday for a funeral. It was an unexpected, tragic death of a man we knew at church there. It has been a tough reality for me to deal with and has shaken me. It is hard when things just don't make sense. But, praise God that we do not have to make sense of life. He is forever faithful-even when life is chaotic. I am so glad to have that truth to hold onto! Part of settling in again is checking in and tallying up the financial support we have received so far. I will post an update soon, letting you know where we are at in fund raising- for now- here are some pictures from our Christmas-

We went on a sleigh ride Christmas Eve- Poppa drove-and told us cheesy jokes!Penfold traditional Christmas Eve dinner- fondue- Little Christmas elves-Jimmy with is 3-D glasses on- playing nerts.roasting hotdogs over the fire-"school" in Grammie's room-Game night- Birthday cake for Jesus- Shan and Jim got the kids headlamps- which they LOVE. I made them superhero capes.Uncle Jim is a great entertainer-

We look forward to 2010 with great anticipating-knowing that God has great things for us. We are moving to Peru!!!!

"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast." 1 Peter 5:10

Appreciate what you said, Amanda. It's inspiring, hearing that kind of faith from a young family. God will use you to build that in others.

Anxious to hear how the fund raising is going. And that you'll soon be settled in for a few months again.
