So we moved yesterday. It did not go as planned, and we are not in our apartment yet. On Saturday we learned that the apartment was not going to be ready. All the finish work and cabinets/closets were not finished. We asked if it was possible for one room to be finished, so we could at least move into that while the carpenter finished the rest. The landlord wanted us to go talk to the carpenter with him, so we all loaded in his van and went to the carpenters house. He said he could have one room done, and that the rest could be done at the end of the week. Yesterday morning we confirmed our plans to move in. We planned to meet with the landlord at 5pm to sign paperwork and move in. At 3pm we got a call with news that the apartment would not be ready and we could not move in. However the landlord had a place for us to stay at her house for free, until the apartment is complete. So, that is where we are. We are being told that the apartment will be completely finished in 12 days. Who knows! Below are pictures of where we are at now. It is small, but we have enough room for our things and beds. We still don't have a stove or fridge, but the landlord has a two burner stove and fridge that she said we can use. This little apartment also has a couch and plastic table too. It feels a little like camping! There are roosters close, that began singing super early. Thomas said, "Mom do you here those chickadees?"

SHEESH you guys! :) Good thing you are laid back and flexible!! We are praying for you and hope you get moved into the new place soon. We love you all and are so proud of you!!
Oh, my word. I'm so sorry. Yes, flexibility is the word of the day--or week--or month...
And thank God for the kids' perspective! Chickadees in the roosters -- or lemonade on the lemons! You guys are troopers!
Flexibility was my word for last year, and it has moved on into this year, tagging along all the way. You can have it, if you like! I love Thomas' point of view! Too cute.
