Kinda Random

Last weekend all of the Extreme staff spend a weekend at the beach.
Ella and Thomas headed to the market.                   Thomas digging in the sand.
We spent fourth of July on the beach-and even had some fireworks!  Tic-tac-toe is one of Chad and Ella's favorite games to play together- so it was fun to find it on the beach!

It was mostly cloudy and foggy while we were at the beach, but our last morning there was warm and sunny.  We bought cheap, delicious tangerines at the market and ate them on the beach.
This made us smile.  Just a guy selling shoe string on the street.  I have never seen so many shoestring!

Left: Walking home from school.  The kids had to start using their rolling suitcases to carry their homework, lunch boxes and jackets.  They actually do a great job pulling them to and from school- despite the sidewalks that are cracked, uneven, broken and full of people! This particular stretch of sidewalk is not common-
Right: The other night Thomas and Ella switched clothes.  They were talking in different voices and pretending they were each other.  They were quite impressed with themselves and stayed in character all night! We had fun watching them.

We've got to buy this kid a soccer ball.  He loves kicking one around whenever he gets a chance.

We had dinner at our spanish teacher's house this week.  He wanted to learn how to make cheesecake.  We used a recipe that you don't have to bake- and it turned out good!

Chad and I celebrated our 11th anniversary tonight.  We found a nice restaurant and enjoyed time with each other talking and remembering years gone by.  I am glad to be here with him and to be hopeful about what is to come!  We are still really missing home, but are thankful to be here with each other.
